What I've been listening to...
My son in law loves Anne Bishop, so my daughter had been pimping her out to me for a while. I finally gave in and picked up the audiobooks for the Black Jewel Trilogy to give her a test drive since it appeared to be her most talked about series.
The first few chapters of Daughter of the Blood (first book in the series) was a bit confusing since the author writes as if you know this world and it's inhabitants (which you don't) but, I promise, after you get them all straight, the book is fantastic! And the subsequent books are just as wonderful.
Great world building, great villains and a good dollop of romance to tie it all in. If you have a chance, I highly recommend this one!
Oh, and while I listened, I did get some sewing done. It's Sewing Month after all!

i highly suggest "the Invisible Ring", "the shadow queen", and "the shaladlor's lady". They are my favorite books of the series especially "the shaladlor's lady".
I read the shadow queen and shaladlor's lady! they were awesome. you've inspired me to read the original trilogy now!
