I cut it close, but I finished!
On Sunday I started work on my September Schnibble (a Schnibble is a small quilt designed by Carrie Nelson from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.).
I decided to give a try to a new method of making Flying Geese blocks, described by Carrie on her site, but since I didn't have the particular ruler to trim the geese, it took me a little longer than I wanted to spend cutting them down to size.
I love how sweet the geese came out, none of the tips were sacrificed. Yeah!! I started the project late because I wanted to use Camile & Bonnie's new fabric line Simple Abundance and the yardage didn't hit the stores until last week.
Not sure about the blue border. I think I would have liked a darker border so it would look more framed but I think I can live with it.
I have the backing and the binding so I guess I have no excuse to leave this one un-quilted. I'll be adding the quilting as an October project.

Looks beautiful! I'm glad to see ONE of us got something accomplished in September! :o)
You need better lighting for Pics. You cant really appreciate the fabrics. This one is really pretty.
Looks pretty, would love to see a brighter picture, and I love the border fabric, just right!
So glad you got your Scnibbles quilt done for Sept. I'm still waiting for
part of my fabric to arrive by mail, so maybe mine will be a finish for Oct! As for the hunter's star that I
did finish for Sept, I did it with paper piecing. I wouldn't do it any other way!
I love it...this is the only one I've seen in Simple Abundance!

I love your quilt ~ I think I might need to make one just like it! Isn't Simple Abundance just the yummiest fabric?! :)
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you win the prize with the Fit to be Geese ruler ~ it really does make flying geese a lot more fun ~ and a lot easier. :)
